What is your favorite thing about POST? I got to see a lot of the Ithaca community (which is hard to do after school
starts, because everyone's so busy) and I was able to show up at the orientation
COMPLETELY comfortable and excited - without POST I probably would have been nervous
and shy.
Why did you choose to attend? I wanted to meet people before orientation (I ended up meeting my best friends!)
and I also wanted to do some awesome volunteer work.
What is your favorite thing about Cornell? Everyone is so nice and helpful rather than competitive and self-absorbed.
What other programs/activities are you involved with? HealthNutS (nutrition club),
Red Carpet Society, APO (Alpha Phi Omega - co-ed service fraternity), Into the
Streets, Cornell Cares, Winter Ambassador, Cornell Fitness Center, cancer research
fundraisers.

What is your favorite thing about POST? My favorite thing about POST is the opportunities
for
networking that you have once you are a part of the POST family. You have
connections in so many campus organizations, which makes getting involved
in something once on campus so much easier!
Why did you choose to attend? I attended POST before my
freshman year because I wanted to continue the amount of service that I
had been doing in high school during my time at Cornell.
What is your favorite thing about Cornell? One of my
favorite things about Cornell is the variety of people that are on campus.
I have met so many interesting students and professors from all different
backgrounds; this has made my Cornell experience really fulfilling.
What other programs/activities are you involved with? I am also a member of a
sorority on
campus, I work in the Career Services office for the College of AAP, and I
am a member of the Meinig Family Cornell National Scholars.

What is your favorite thing about POST? I met some of my best friends here at Cornell, and I was able to mentally prepare
becoming a Cornell student by meeting other students before school even started.
Why did you choose to attend? It was free through Cornell Tradition and I think that helping others is the
most important things that people do with their lives.
What is your favorite thing about Cornell? Toooooo many things to count!!! I
don't know, I came here for the quality food just like everyone else... I like
the people that I've met, the challenge of classes with some of the best professors
in the country, the campus is 'gorges' year round, and I like that the school
has tons of different kinds of people.

What is your favorite thing about POST?
My favorite thing about POST was the bonds that were formed during the week. I
also liked getting to know Ithaca so well, there's not a lot of chances to do
that during the school year.
Why did you choose to attend?
I choose to attend POST mostly to meet other incoming freshmen and learn about
service in the Ithaca area.
What is your favorite thing about Cornell? My favorite thing about Cornell is how there are always opportunities. If you're
interested in something, you can always find a way to get involved in it at Cornell.

What is your favorite thing about POST? Since nearly everyone on the trip likes community service, it's a great way
to meet people with the same interests as you. Even now, most of the people I
spend time with I met on POST or through other friends from POST.
Why did you choose to attend? I was very active in community service in high school, so I went on POST in
order to get to know volunteer opportunities in Ithaca. Also, I wanted to get
to know the area a little better before school started, so that I would feel more
comfortable in the community.
What is your favorite thing about Cornell? Snow!! I'm an avid snowboarder, so I think the winter here is great! Greek Peak
is only about half an hour away, so I get to go snowboarding much more than when
I am home in NJ.
What other programs/activities are you involved with? On-Site Volunteer Services, Cornell Fitness Centers, Alpha Phi Omega, Red Carpet
Society, Cornell Ski & Snowboard Club, Joy Ringers (handbell choir).

What is your favorite thing about POST? I enjoy talking and hanging out with
everyone in the kitchen at night after all our work is done.
Why did you choose to attend? I was going to be at Cornell by myself a week
before Orientation would begin. I was going to have to find a place to stay for
the week, but then I read about POST in a packet from Cornell and I thought that
attending POST and performing community service with other incoming freshmen would
be a great way to spend my time.
What is your favorite thing about Cornell? The freedom and opportunities to make

What is your favorite thing about POST? My favorite thing about POST was how
comfortable it made me when orientation and classes started. I already had a
large group of awesome friends and felt at home on the campus.
Why did you choose to attend? I decided to attend POST because I was involved
in service activities throughout high school and wanted to continue that involvement
in college. I also wanted to get to know some people before orientation, because
I knew that that aspect of college would be hard for me because I was always pretty
shy and quiet around new people.
What is your favorite thing about Cornell? My favorite thing about Cornell is
everyone I have met here. You can become really close to your friends because
you basically live together! There are also many opportunities to get involved
with just about anything while you’re here, which keeps life exciting!

What is your favorite thing about POST? My favorite thing about POST was probably the friendships that I made. POST
is a large enough program that you feel like you're getting to know peopple, but
it's small enough to make a community atmosphere. I loved playing cards, mafia,
and just hanging out with such a diverse group of people.
Why did you choose to attend? I wanted to get to know my fellow new students and continue with community service
in college. Attending POST was probably the best decision that I have made during
my career at Cornell.
What is your favorite thing about Cornell? My favorite thing about Cornell is the sheer number of opportunities that are
available. If you have an interest, there is probably a group that shares it.
If no group exists, then you can create your own! Also, you can discover hidden
talents that you might have by branching out and joining a group that intrigues
you (mine was the Big Red Bear Mascots!)

Carpet Society.

What is your favorite thing about POST? Being exposed to the Ithaca community right away and already having 60 awesome
friends the moment you step on campus. The friendships you make really do last
during your whole college experience and some of my best friends are former POSTers.
The upperclassman POST leaders were also a huge help when I wanted to get involved
in activities and clubs.
Why did you choose to attend? Leaving my friends a week early was hard, but I knew it was the right thing
to do. I have always been interested in service and I wanted to meet individuals
at Cornell who had similar interests.
What is your favorite thing about Cornell? Such diversity in one university! But seriously, where else can you go where
people want to be union organizers, grow corn, be the next Donald Trump and go
into bioengineering? It's so fascinating talking to so many people with such different
academic and personal interests from all over the world. You will never be bored
here.
What other programs/activities are you involved with? Business Fraternity Delta Sigma Pi, Into the Streets, Cornell Urban Scholars,

to become acquainted with my new surroundings while helping others. I am so happy
with my decision.

my great friends but they have been my role models, guiding me throughout my first
two years at Cornell.
What other programs/activities are you involved with? Outside of POST, I am a
member in both a social and professional business fraternity and will be going
abroad fall semester. Deciding to do POST is a decision you will not regret.
