LPP's Pairing Program works by finding you a language partner who has compatible
language interests. For instance, one partnership might be between someone who
is a native English speaker and wants to learn Spanish and a native Spanish speaker
who wants to practice his/her English.
After being paired by LPP's database, the partners will meet for the first time
at the Public Service Center (PSC) to exchange contact information and go over
the program. Then, they will arrange to meet once a week for about an hour to
practice their conversational skills in Spanish and English. In addition to acquiring
language skills, both partners also learn more about each other's cultures, thus
promoting understanding between different peoples.
