Alternative Breaks
Alternative Breaks Board is now recruiting!!! Enjoy service learning? Well we
do too! The Alternative Breaks Board is looking for energetic, fun, and motivated
students to join their board starting this year! Alternative Breaks, a program
run out of the Public Service Center, sends over 100 students every spring break
to participate in service learning orientated trips to places like New York City,
Boston, Philadelphia, Florida, West Virginia, Lake Placid, and Cape Cod. Board
members should commit approximately 5 hours a week and could be working on fundraising,
marketing, organizing applications and students, and working with trip leaders.

Alternative Breaks is a student led program of the Cornell Public Service Center.
Join one of our amazing teams of students that will spend Spring Break tackling
service-learning projects on issues as varied as urban poverty, hunger, inadequate
housing, domestic violence, homelessness, civil rights, HIV/AIDS, farmworkers,
at-risk youth and environmental damage. Trip sites include Boston, Cape Cod, Lake
Placid, New York City, Philadelphia and rural West Virginia.
Take the Challenge. Break Stereotypes. Do Something. Dare to go outside your
comfort zone.
