The following programs offer student staff positions and are coordinated by the Public Service Center.
The Community Work Study Program allows Cornell financial-aid students who have received a Federal Work Study award to work off campus. On average, the Community Work Study Program places 250 students in work-study positions during the academic year, and an additional 80-90 students are placed during the summer term.
Typically the program works with 50 different non profit organizations or sites
at any given time, and students work in numerous areas, including day care, education,
health services (physical and mental), legal services, environmental issues, urban
planning, public works, and the arts.
Interested in working with pre-kindergarten through 9th grade students in area schools and agencies? There are volunteer and Federal Work Study opportunities available to tutor children in Reading and Mathematics. Share your education with someone in the community.
