Opportunity: Tutoring middle school students

Description: Tutor middle school students after-school. Mentors have to go through a minimum of 1yr committment to meet with students 2hrs/wk. There is a 1hr orientation and 1hr tutor/mentor training.

Opportunity: BBBS Saturday Program
Agency: Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Ithaca and Tompkins County
Date & Time: Saturdays, Fall and Spring from 12:30-3:30pm
Description: BBBS Saturday Program - need volunteers to supervise and entertan wait list children. Volunteers play games, participate in pre-designed activities, and supervise 20-40, 6-14 yr olds at the Ithaca Youth Bureau. Can be one time or ongoing. Staff support at all times.

Opportunity: Bowl for Sake
Agency: Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Ithaca and Tompkins County

Description: Volunteers needed to form bowling teams, gather sponsorships, and go bowling on a Saturday in April to raise money for BBBS. Volunteers will have and participate in a National Campaign/Event for mentoring!

Opportunity: Mentoring Program
Agency: Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Ithaca and Topmkins County
Date & Time: anytime
Description: Volunteers needed to become mentors for children in Tompkins County. Volunteers would form friendships with willing, fun kids age 6-14. Volunteers must provide references, submit to a background check, go through an internal process and commit to the child for 6-8 hrs per month for at least 1 yr. Training/orientation is required to be a mentor for a child. Orientations are held on an ongoing basis at the Ithaca Youth Bureau.
