Faculty members are critical to the success of this program.   Faculty members are engaged with community organizations through students.

Benefits are:

  • Foster relationships with not-for-profit organizations
  • Enhance existing relationships that faculty have with not-for-profit organizations
  • Form linkages with research projects
  • Involve students in the research projects


Responsibilities are to:

  • Oversee student’s project at the agency
  • Be supportive of student
  • Communicate with agency regarding student and agency placement
  • Develop service learning plan with site supervisor prior to the commencement of the position
  • Check in with students on the progress of the project
  • End of placement evaluation
