About the Program
The Community Partnership Board (CPB) is a student organization of the Public Service Center (PSC) at Cornell University. The CPB seeks to foster leadership and social responsibility by encouraging students to take action against social problems. The CPB assist students in developing grassroots community action projects and administers grants from the Community Partnership Fund to make these projects possible.
The funds are provided by both the Student Assembly (via the Activities Fee) and the PSC. The CPB receives approximately $20,000 for the Fund each year. Up to $2,000 per project per year is available in funding. The CPB, funded projects. and community agency partners make up the Community Partnership.
Who is the CPB?
The CPB is composed of nine students from various years and colleges who serve each as equal members of the Board. Each year new members are recruited, interviewed and selected to replace positions held by graduating students.
