Staying Connected

The Cornell Public Service Center is committed to supporting the continuing efforts of Cornell alumni in the area of service. We know that commitment to public service and social action does not stop once you graduate.

To facilitate your volunteer service, we offer links to grants, funding sites, and service opportunities via collaboration with Cornell clubs and the Office of Alumni Affairs and Development on campus. In addition, our staff offers consultation on establishing programs, project funding, and finding volunteer opportunities that appeal to you.

We also offer many ways for alumni to meet with current students, both on and off campus, through events like Cornell Cares Day, reunion, homecoming, and in certain geographical areas. We have annual service events in Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, Washington DC, Westchester and New York City and are eager to work with alumni in other areas who would like to establish their own annual service event.

We have also established an alumni listerserve (pscalumni-L@cornell.edu) which will be used judiciously to inform alumni of PSC news and events and job openings in the public service and nonprofit sectors. PSC alumni will be automatically subscribed (if we have your email address) and notified of how to post to the list or unsubscribe, if you so choose.

Thought is the blossom; language the bud; action the fruit behind it.
